Christmas Evening

Hard to believe just a few minutes before this was taken Delaney was asleep in the car........

Uncle Mac gave her a little pick me up---"ello"........before dinner.

And some crackers.................

And then she made herself right at home and kicked off her panty hose and shoes to sit at the head of the table...........

And then it was time for presents...we did a white elephant this year and you had to bring a "As Seen On TV Gift" and I may or may not have stolen this idea from uncle David and aunt Teresa!!!  We had so much fun.  I got the "Ove" Glove and was so excited I wanted one (seriously).....

And then when I saw this I knew it was time to head home.  Delaney was a trooper and was up 12 hours without a nap!

And when we got home aunt Ang came over to stay the night with us again and Delaney got to open more gifts!

Here is my favorite present this year.  Delaney made this with aunt Beth and cousin Cerelle.  It is hard to tell but it is her hand they traced and then cut out all of them to make a wreath (surely by now I don't have to tell you this is from Pinterest do I???)....I know what you were thinking when you first saw this, that I sent Delaney to school and it's a school project!!! 

And this is also one of my favorites, her's not mine (mine is not new) but I am thinking now that Delaney has her own vacuum she can really start earning her keep around here.  I registered for this vacuum and contemplated registering for the pink one but then I decided that was going to be a huge mistake because I knew that David would never want to vacuum if it was pink......and then when he asked me WHERE WE KEPT THE VACUUM I knew it was a lost cause pink or no pink!!!!!  And Delaney if you're reading this, just to remind you we keep it in the hall closet!!! 

 Oh, did I tell you we have quads now???? uh huh, we do.........FOUR new babies................

Christmas Afternoon

After Christmas morning at home it was time to head to aunt Catherine and uncle Mark's.  Delaney called aunt Catherine to let her know we were running a few minutes behind (what else is new)......

And grabbed her coat...........

And was ready to go!

But not before grabbing our Santa hats to take for dessert.  Ok people here it is--THREE ingredients (1. Mini brownies--I "may" have bought them already made at Sam's Club, 2. Strawberries 3. White morsels you melt in microwave and pipe around strawberries).  And as if you even have to ask---Pinterest!!!

Cousins Caleb and Amelia were in town from Washington (no clue how I managed not to get a picture of Amelia).  Delaney and Caleb played in the play room until they decided it was time to open presents.  Caleb said "come on Laney let's open presents".................

 Is this not precious?????  Amelia sure has a sweet big brother!

 But SOMEONE was more into paying attention to Caleb's presents...............

And then it was time to leave and head to aunt Beth's WHO LIVES 10 MINUTES AWAY!! Here is Delaney at 5:00 on the way!  I got there and asked if we could hold our Christmas get together in the car!!!

Christmas Morning

When Santa was finished stopping at our house, he made sure to leave our magic key for next year.........

Along with some goodies too! In our house, stockings are opened first!  But I first have to blog about what I did that hopefully did not scar my daughter for life!  When she woke up Christmas morning right on schedule (9:00 a.m.--and yes, I know, it will NOT always be like this) I wanted to be sure to video her coming down the hall to get her reaction so when she woke up, I went in to wish her Merry Christmas AND THEN KEPT HER IN HER CRIB so I could run and get the video camera.  She did NOT like this idea.  I hope to upload the video for you but Blogger is having some issues with video right now (or maybe it's me)????  And as if that was not "mean" enough when she came out to the living room I didn't let her open any gifts until grandma and grandpa arrived!  Ok, maybe she opened one (it was her Jewel CD called "The Merry Goes Round".  A new CD for children with cute, silly songs!

 "Dear Santa, in our house, our wrapping paper always matches our living room"!  Pink does not match, please try to do better next year!!!

 Grandma and Grandpa got Delaney some new plates, bowls, forks, knives, and spoons!!!

 And then she opened.......................

 Her new Pink Dyson...just a push of a button......................

 And she was ready to clean up her mess! ha ha ha

 Merry Christmas sweet cheeks!!!!

And just because I like to torture myself and look back----I can't believe how much longer our hair has grown!!!  I guess it's hard to see mine.............

Christmas Eve 2011

Aunt Ang and grandma Terry came and stayed with us for Christmas again this year.  We headed to Delaney's grandparents' for Christmas Eve.  Delaney wanted to text Santa to make sure he was planning on stopping by our house.........(and no, she NEVER puts down her day days).

She also wanted to call Santa to make sure he got her text.........................

On the way, I realized I forgot to pack a sippy cup and almost stopped at CVS to buy a new one and then grandma reminded me what a lazy mom I am and that there was one in the back of our car..........Delaney didn't eat much, she was excited to get to presents.

I couldn't resist posting this picture to show how long Delaney's hair is getting...........

Yes Delaney we know where the North Pole is............(before we left, Delaney put on her pj's aunt Ang made for her and we went to drive around and look at Christmas lights).
