It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Summer.............

I always forget how much I love Memorial Weekend until it's Memorial Weekend.

We had a cookout, went to cookouts and of course a little of this.........

Four Years Later, and we still choose...............

I should probably say something like how surprised I am that 4 years later you all remember us with calls, emails, texts, cards and even flowers, but the truth is, I'm not surprised at all......

"The Graduate"

Before I know it, these pictures are going to look A LOT different.  Well, that is if Delaney changes her mind about wanting to be a construction worker!

And, I'll likely be standing with a cane (I"m an OLD MOM)!

I had no idea graduates decorate their caps.  We didn't do that back in 1995 (see, OLD MOM)

We recently attended the 185th graduation at IU (100th for the School of Nursing).  The President of Ireland was the guest speaker and he talked more than I do (only in a really cool Irish accent).  His speech was pretty long!  Delaney lasted about 2.2 minutes before we broke out the ipad and snacks!  The entire thing lasted an hour and a half (mostly with the President speaking).  It was a beautiful day celebrating our cousin. We couldn't be more proud of the future nurse! She has a very exciting future ahead of her in a very exciting city (that we plan to visit OFTEN)!

Dear C,

"Go out into the world and be good.  But more importantly, go out into the world and do good"!

We love you and are so very proud of you.  All of your hard work (mixed with a little partying) paid off!

School's Out for Summer.............

The day started with The Pledge of Allegiance,

And then the teacher passed out the "character awards".  I knew before she called Delaney's name what award she would receive................

No surprise at all.  I have said since she was born she's got her daddy's loving heart.......

Maybe she should have received the "class clown award".  Her teacher said it was like herding cats trying to take this picture.

First Day of Pre-K3

 Last Day of Pre-K3 (minus the wrong date, I never get the year right!)

I've already turned this off!

When we got in the car Delaney said "well, I'm ready for Pre-K4".  Then we did what we do best, lunch and shopping (I will NEVER get used to character shoes).

Here is what I learned about school:

Delaney is going to marry Luke the "guy in her class" (i.e. little boy in white t-shirt).  I asked his mom if he will be going to Pre-K4 so Delaney will get to see him again! Luke is a very quiet little boy but I guess as they say opposites attract!

Delaney wants us to "get" a baby sister like Macy with the Doc McStuffin backpack just got.  I will end the sentence there!

When you ask Delaney what she is going to do all summer she says:

"Swim in my pool"

"Play in my Hello Kitty sprinkler"

"Get my brows done"

LORD.HELP.ME!!!!!!!!!!!

The Sweetest Thing

Looked up at me with those big eyes and  said "you're the perfect mommy, I'm so glad my daddy chose you"...........

I'm far from perfect Delaney, but I'm trying my best!

Where Does The Time Go????

As I've said before, I love how when we aren't blogging much, you check in on us! It even led to meeting a friend for lunch! It's safe to say any electronic device we own is having issues! Including our brand spanking new tv! Also known as Delaney's "Spring Break"! Once things are fixed, we will be sure to update you on Delaney's FOURTH birthday, Easter, etc. At least I have the Kindle (although the game of tug of war between me and my doesn't know her own strength daughter broke case #3).  While all the other mini van driving moms were in the pick up line probably thinking about the nutritious lunch of home grown carrots they were going to go home and feed their toddler, this mom was reading my Kindle App and my new book had the best (or scariest) line that got me thinking.  It said "dress every single day, every single outfit as if you're going to be buried in it". Then THAT got me thinking I needed to put in writing.....

Under NO circumstance are you to bury me in yoga pants!!!!
