Delaney loves to take selfies and then she hands me the phone and says "mommy, put my pic on Facebook and Instagram!!!" I love that she says pic! Oh this girl.....

Move Over Lucy Li

Although she probably doesn't say touchdown when the ball goes in!! Someone must be ready for football season....

Delaney can't start golf lessons until Spring so we thought we would get a head start! And thank goodness we did, she thought we were bowling......

If you ask Delaney (actually, you don't even have to ask her) she will tell you she's allergic to pets, ALL pets! I have "no idea" (wink wink) where she heard that! 

Good-Bye Spring, Hello Summer

Although it's the first "official" day of summer, by the looks of our electric bill, it seems as though it's already outworn its welcome!!!! 

These hot days haven't kept Delaney from having fun....(oh how this little girl loves rides!) I can't even imagine how much fun Disney will be with Delaney.

Last Swim Post

Delaney finished swim lessons last week.

Here is my breakdown of what I learned from swim lessons:

When one kid has to go potty, they all do! It's a domino effect....

Some kids don't make it past the first day, they want their mommies..........

The kids really just like to get in the water and waive at their mommies only the mommies are too busy playing on their cell phones to notice them!....

Most toddlers are scared to death of the diving board....

Of course not my fearless four year old....

(just in case you missed it the first time)

Delaney's instructors said she should take level 1 again next year.  Which means, I think she failed!! But she sure did look cute in her swim cap!

My friend said "no way, did she fail, there must have been another Delaney in her class and they mixed up their test sheets"......ha! 

Delaney informed me now she wants to take Karate Lessons!  And if that isn't enough, she asked me to take her SKY DIVING!!! 

THIS.GIRL.IS.GOING.TO.BREAK.ME!!!!!!!

There wasn't a doubt in my mind....

But I still didn't want to get too close just in case! You should be able to maximize the screen to get a better view.  It's hard to tell, but just before she jumped, she stopped on the diving board to waive!!!

"Caution"

The caution tape around the diving pool was a bit disturbing.  Delaney said "I've seen that before on the news". Obviously she's talking about crime scenes!!! On a positive note, swim lessons are going great!

And in more disturbing news....Delaney told me she wants to get a princess tattoo! Three actually, Ariel, Jasmine and Snow White...Lord.Help.Me

Move Over Mary Lou

Delaney started gymnastics last week.  Her instructor asked me if she had any "experience".  Um, she's 4, so no! I politely said "no". But what I wanted to say was "no, but don't underestimate her"....

She did great! I love she took up two spaces for her Crocs!

When I was pregnant, Dave informed me that Delaney was going to "play every sport there is including yard darts".  We are off to a good start but I think these things look a little dangerous!!!

Swim Lessons

Delaney started swim lessons today which went exactly as expected.......

 (Disregard the sunburn on her back, I've already been scolded by grandma for that)

After class, Delaney said "I loved it mommy". Then she said "maybe we'll get in the big pool tomorrow".

And yes, she was the only little girl wearing a swim cap! Grandma thinks her hair is already turning green from the chlorine and I'm still in trouble for the sunburn~!

My friend told me to wait until Delaney was 4 to do swim lessons because if they are younger we had to do the mommy and me lessons and this mommy is not up for that!  And, when we saw there were only three "mommies and me" I realized neither are a whole lot of other moms!  

We went straight from swim lessons to soccer registration.  While Delaney was leisurely lounging in the pool the other day she said "mom, when are you going back to work".  I guess she thinks I have time for that between swim lessons, soccer and gymnastics!!!

Kings Island

Despite the fact the forecast was 80% rain/thunderstorms, we filled our cup half full and headed to Kings Island last week.  Good thing we focused on the 20% since it didn't rain a drop!!!

I haven't been to Kings Island for 15 years and not much has changed! Of course we started out with the obligatory picture in front of the sign.....

 And didn't waste any time getting to the rides. 

 Delaney said "that girl didn't talk, it made me nervous".  Clearly, Delaney thinks everyone is a chatterbox like her (or is it "us").....

 

 Just before this roller coaster started, Delaney said "mom, you're going to scream on this"

This cracked me up, it's for when you get off the log ride!  

 She was not interested in eating......

 Or getting close to the dinosaurs.....

 She warmed up a little toward the end........

 The blue ice cream (that of course got on the white shirt)........

 But totally worth it............

 I'm pretty sure if Delaney weren't 40 inches tall, she would have been on this......

As I looked through the pictures to post, Delaney is laughing and smiling in every one of them! Then I remembered what they say....."happy parent, happy child".  What's not to be happy about, this girl rocks my world!  The entire day (and even before we left) Delaney kept saying "mommy thank you for taking me to Kings Island".  She also said on the way there "mommy, does it cost fifty bucks to go to Kings Island"!!!
She is a fearless child and loved all the rides.
She is primed for Disney!  Speaking of Florida, over Memorial Weekend she was telling people about our trip to Florida THAT I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT!!! I also remembered that on our way to a race party, she asked if there was going to be a race pool! I asked her if she brought "twenty bucks".  Only my four year old would ask about gambling!!!!!
