But First......

I'll be sure to update you soon on the wonderful Christmas we had but first, I thought I would show you the "outtakes" from our Christmas Card SINCE SOME OF THEM NEVER MADE IT TO THE RECIPIENTS and then there are the ones that were returned to me EMPTY!!!!
I don't know why I bother with cards, something always goes wrong....strangest thing ever!

Too bad Delaney doesn't have any personality........

A Christmas Round Up

I thought we better start updating the blog on all of the Christmas festivities we have been up to.
We celebrated our first family Christmas get together last weekend. I know what you're thinking and yes, it's a Christmas miracle I am wearing Buffalo Plaid! I NEVER wear red.

Delaney was physically jumping up and down waiting on Wyatt to get there. I asked if we should draw numbers to decide who got to hold him first but someone didn't like that idea......
 I eventually got a turn....
 Her gifts did not disappoint.
I literally have no idea what all she got she got so much stuff!
We were at what was my grandparents' house when I was a little girl and I reminded Delaney that when I was little we always had to eat before opening gifts! Delaney did not like that idea.
Her grandma lives there now and apparently didn't either.....
Then we were off to our friends' annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party!
Instead of a sweater this year I made Delaney a present (which lasted about 2 seconds).

The next day was our "Framily" Christmas party with all of our tailgating friends. This little cutie came from church and changed into his slippers which cracked me up! More on that in a minute....
These three showed up and immediately needed oxygen a/k/a "wifi". Our network and password recently changed and I think I threw them all into shock when they tried to log on.
I had to snap a picture!!!
Of this too, as you can see, the guys far out numbered the girls (see one peeking out??)
ALL of Dave's friends pretty much have boys. There are only a few girls.
We had a chili bar (and pizza for the kids)
It was of course a Colts theme Christmas party!!!
Delaney turned it into a pajama party apparently.....
The kids (and big kids) had an ornament exchange.

And their own games (thanks Pinterest!)

(Note to self for next year....hang up more paper for a backdrop)

The adults played Dirty Santa with Colts themed gifts but I didn't get any pictures. I think everyone thought we would play the boring version of drawing a number etc. but they should know better than that coming to our house!! If you wanted to steal a gift, you had to draw a card from the Santa Hat and do what it said.....some had to raise their hand for the rest of the day if they wanted to talk, some had to ask permission to use the restroom, some had to do jumping jacks (ME), some had to say a certain word that started with the letter "S" and ended with the letter "K" after anyone said the word Colts (although they did win!!). And everyone had to use oven mitts to open their gift!

We didn't get a picture of everyone there at the same time but managed to get most of the adults.

Next up, Christmas nail polish that was done on Monday afternoon and gone by Wednesday. I asked Delaney if it was still on and she said "yes mommy, they used a really good top coat"! Clearly not good enough. While they were painting her nails, she asked if she could get a pedicure!!!
Good thing her mom doesn't mind telling her no!

Next up, on Tuesday, I surprised Delaney with a trip to Sullivan's Hardware and she asked if we were going on the Polar Express. I told her we were doing the Indy Express (I think the Polar Express is too far and overrated)!
 She was excited!!!
Who wouldn't want a Green Egg for Christmas (Uncle David cooks our Thanksgiving turkey on one and it is the best turkey you will ever eat). They are pricey, but oh so worth it!

The "Indy Express" dropped us off to see Santa....

It was the prettiest display I have ever seen.
This is Delaney telling Santa she would like a bitty baby.
Apparently she thinks the one she has needs a baby sister. Her mother does not.
The other day I had to stop the car on our street so four deer could cross the road. Dave's friend came over and saw them too and thought they were part of a Christmas display! Delaney said they need to install a Deer Crossing sign!

I reminded Santa that last year he forgot to bring me a bottle of La Mer (yes ma'am, I blame Santa for the bags under my eyes) and that he could make up for it this year by bringing me a pair of Frey riding boots :-)

I booked our tickets about 5 weeks ago and never would have dreamed the weather would be so perfect! We lucked out. Afterwards, we went inside and I wanted to run back to Santa to tell him I would take any of their artificial trees (plus the Frye boots of course)!

                                                  And Wednesday brought this....so cute!

We have a couple of relaxing days at home before more Christmas festivities where we plan to watch these (in order of favorites) !
