I hope it's just coincidental on the same day we got this sweet little girl's school pictures this conversation happened on the way to school.......

Delaney: "Mommy, I have a booger in my nose"
Me: "ok"
Delaney: "I will just ask Mrs. Flora to get it"
Me: "Delaney, that is not in your teacher's job description"
Delaney: "Sure it is"

Pottery Barn

Should a 3 year old be this excited over Pottery Barn???? OF COURSE SHE SHOULD! She's her mother's daughter. Delaney said "mommy take my picture and put it on the blog".....Lord.Help.Me.

Note the flip flops...the Newsom girls have a hard time giving them up and accepting it's Fall. One of us still has a bikini in her drawer with the tags still on it. Delaney of course........

"Mommy, can we go to Atlantis".....

Delaney asked me if we could go to Atlantis. I wasn't sure if I heard her correctly. But when she told me "it's a vacation where dolphins jump out of the sea and back in" I was pretty sure I knew exactly what she was talking about........

I actually decided that wasn't such a bad idea and that we would be stopping by the roulette wheel to win back all the money mommy "donated" on her honeymoon!!! I'm pretty sure Delaney saw the commercial on Sprout----thanks a lot!!! Most kids want to go to Disney but leave it to Delaney to go big or go home...... I guess while she's on Fall Break we'll go get her passport!

Speaking of Fall Break, she asked me if I get one. I told her no, I'm a mom, breaks don't come with the job!!

Someone is Blue

That she can't go to the Colts game tonight.....

Jumpathon

Delaney had a Jumpathon fundraiser at school last week.  That is code for asking people to write a "tax deductible check and mail it to her school".

Then I met my future son in law some of her friends back in her class for story time.  Luke, in the red shirt..."I've got my eye on you"!!!!

And then it was report card time (who knew 3 year olds get report cards!).  "M" means mastered and "U" means understands but hasn't mastered yet.  Basically, Delaney doesn't know her days of the week!  Half the time I don't know the day of the week!

I loved the comment her teacher wrote.  "Delaney is a joy to teach.  She is always happy and excited to learn (apparently not the days of the week).  She is a friend to all.  Her only worry is the bathroom."  (That is code for "your kid won't potty at school")...........
