Fun In The Sun!!!

I realize this picture was taken indoors I just thought Delaney was making the cutest face so I had to post it!! Little Miss Hollywood wanted to get some tummy time today and we thought why not in the pool! I"ll be taking this picture to her next pediatrician visit so we can PROVE she is getting some! (Getting her to actually look at the camera is getting a bit difficult these days. Or, maybe it's because I am always sticking the camera in front of her face and she is starting to protest!)

Delaney is excited! I told her that she is going to have a new little girl cousin in January. Cousins Shawn and Elaine are expecting a baby girl to add to their family. YEAH GIRL POWER!!!!

A New Zip Code

No, we are not moving, however, Delaney and I did see some condos at we liked today! We ventured just a short 8 miles north to downtown and took a nice walk on the canal!! It was a beautiful day for it. One would THINK after working downtown for so many years, I would remember that there is no such thing as FREE parking downtown. I have had so many people tell me that I need to consolidate my purse with my diaper bag...so today, I did! Which meant I left my change purse at home and didn't have any cash on me! THANK YOU VISA AND MASTERCARD! Of course the self pay parking machine accepted them.

Shocking I know, but every single woman who walked past Delaney commented on her adorable sunglasses. I think I am going to hang a sign from her stroller that says "look but don't touch"!

And of course after a long walk, Delaney worked up an appetite.

Here are some pictures of her in a new outfit! I couldn't decide if they were pants that were too short or shorts that were too long. All I know is they are size 6 months and I am not happy about this!

Delaney's hair reminds me of Kate Gosselin's (pre extensions that is). It is long and combed over to the side on top and the back is starting to stick straight up! Guess I better buy baby hair gel!

Here is what happened when I jumped in the shower while aunt Julie came for a visit today! My daughter came out of her room looking like a mini Jane Fonda! I was just sure this outfit was too big for Delaney but as usual, it fit perfectly!It's no secret that I am not ready for "new things" they only make me realize Delaney is getting bigger and I am NOT ready for that. I was not ready for the exersaucer.....................

So I KNOW I'm not ready for this..............(I am just going to let it sit and collect dust for awhile). I was just sure Delaney was too big for it UNTIL I SAW A PICTURE OF IT RECLINED FOR "INFANT FEEDINGS"!!!! I am still trying to recover from having to raise Delaney's headrest and straps on her swing and car seat!

Fun Weekend!!

"Delaney, don't eat your dress sweetheart"............ "Good Girl...now look at mommy"..........

Never mind that Delaney rarely wears shoes and socks. We sort of boycott them from May-Sept!! But don't worry, Delaney has a drawer full of them just waiting to be worn. Delaney went downtown today with mommy to meet a friend for lunch and go to mommy's old office (so of course that called for a dress). As we were sitting outside having lunch, a woman walked by to tell Delaney how beautiful she was (yes, my daughter is going to get a BIG head)....then shortly after that, another woman asked "is it a boy or a girl".......now, is it wrong to say "oh, I don't know lady would YOU put a boy in a pink dress?!?!?!?!?!?! Don't worry, I kept my composure, walked on and said "A GIRL"!!! I never!! We got home from our day out and I clipped Delaney's finger nails. I have found that the best place to do this is on the front porch...for two reasons. 1. the natural daylight and 2. the distraction of being outside. Delaney LOVES sitting on the front porch and can just stare at the trees forever. So, I decided it's a great place to get her nails done. The only problem is....where will we go this winter? Short of moving to a warmer climate that is!

We got another visit this weekend from cousin Cerelle who is now at IU (I remembered to take a picture this time). Delaney promises she will never go off to college!!

Delaney decided getting teeth and rolling over just wasn't enough...she keeps trying to hold her bottle (yes, I know by the looks of this picture she isn't just trying, she's succeeding but remember how I like to live in a state of denial when it comes to her development)!!

And, she continues to be the happiest baby in the world!!!

On Saturday she got to wear a mini skirt and go to the mall!!!

Splish Splash Delaney's Taking A Bath!!

When giving Delaney her bath last night, it hit me---I don't even use this much "stuff"!!! It takes longer to get her ready for her bath than her actual bath............We use every single thing in here!

And boy do we have a system down.......................

I think we have enough bath supplies until she leaves for college..........

Since it was so nice out today Delaney decided she'd take a dip in the pool...........

Delaney decided today was the day!!! Some of you know that she has a new "get up time" in the morning....8:00 a.m. I know, stop laughing, to me, that's early!!! I think really she just spoiled me these last few months by sleeping in until 9:30ish....those days seem to be long gone!!

She got up, had her bottle, and got down to business........... I just knew as soon as I turned my head, she'd do it and I'd find her in this position...BUT, Delaney knew how much her mommy wanted to see her roll over for the first time so instead of getting up and being productive, I waited patiently on the sofa to see if she'd do it and soon enough, here's what I saw (this was taken the very first time--I didn't get it on video though)....

So we changed clothes (before noon today!) and practiced some more......I could not get her to look at the camera so this is the best face shot I could get.

So, we've entered it in the baby book and called the school to make sure the bus stops out front tomorrow because now she's a big girl!!! What's next?? crawling??? Oh Geez I am not ready for any of this!!!

"When Peyton Calls, Delaney Shows Up"

Delaney got a call from Peyton Manning (ok, ok it was a recording) reminding her of her 3 month follow up visit today with the pediatric orthopedic physician at Peyton Manning's Children's Hospital. We made the FORTY-FIVE minute drive for our FORTY minute appointment!! I finally figured out the trick when it comes to scheduling doctor appointments....make them around lunch time and you get in and out!!! Delaney had to go today for her follow up x-ray (which of course she did perfect through) and then we saw the doctor. He said her hips look great and he would like to see her back ONCE SHE STARTS WALKING!!! I thought "I'm sorry, did you say "WALKING"...I am not so sure I am going to let her do that (but we went ahead and made the appointment anyway) for May 25, 2011 (doesn't that seem so far away?? Delaney will be exactly 14 months that day)!!!

Of course she wanted to wear a dress (just in case she ran into Peyton) but once we got home she wanted to put on her play clothes. Here she is in a t-shirt (thank you aunt Trina) and jean shorts (thank you aunt Angie). Have you ever seen a baby wear a t-shirt and jean shorts? I feel like she should be out riding her bike wearing big kid clothes like this. So, I decided to take them off, it was way too depressing seeing her in big kid clothes!! (ha ha ha)

Just kidding, this was Delaney before she could decide which dress to wear........ And here she is stretching her neck to watch mom scarf down dinner!!

Delaney's First Colts Game!!

Delaney and I had a great weekend. On Friday, I got to go see Eat, Pray, Love with some girlfriends. Although I was a bit disappointed in the movie (as usual, the book was SO much better), it was nice to get out and spend some time with girlfriends. I did my own "Eat, Pray, Love" while we were there......EAT (yes, I did get to eat---Twizzlers, Sour Patch Gummi Worms and Butterfingers) PRAY....yes, I did did that too, "Dear God, please let the movie be over soon so I can get home to my"............. LOVE...

A movie is about as long as I can stand to be away from Delaney. I sure hope by the time she starts school kids will attend via internet. If not, she's going to be the kid most made fun of for bringing her mommy to school with her everyday!



Delaney got to wear her nautical themed outfit aunt Essie and uncle Jim got for her...

And before the game started, Delaney got all dressed up in her "pre-season" Colts attire......She just wasn't sure if she wanted to wear her white hat..........

On Sunday evening we went to a going away (to IU) party for cousin Cerelle. And, as usual, when we got there, I hear "I bought Delaney something".............a new vibrating seat to keep at aunt Beth's house......if you think it was too hot outside for Delaney to be out, don't worry............

Cousin Ross hooked up the fan for her!!!

Now, could someone explain how I can clip Delaney's nails and then within minutes, she get a scratch on her nose? How does this happen?????????
