Delaney's First Drive-In

We are marking stuff off our summer fun list! We hit the drive-in where I was just sure Delaney would fall asleep before the first movie. But instead she stayed up for both and we pulled in our driveway at 2:15 a.m. when she was finally asleep!

We went with very seasoned drive-in goers who brought their A game!
They showed up with this..........

I think we could have stayed for a week!

You order your pizza and they call your phone when it's ready!

When you're the only girl, you learn to catch a football!

The boys are so sweet to Delaney.

We can't wait to go back!

My Little Flower Girl

As you can guess from the lack of blog posts, summer has been busy!

I was out of town last week and when my plane hit the ground, I wasted no time getting home to get ready for this...............

Really Delaney???? It must be exhausting being a flower girl.

(I just wanted to walk up there and yank down that sash--it would not stay in its place)

I also wanted to take back the hour I spent curling my hair that the wind destroyed :-)

We love summer!!!!

Delaney went inside and came out with her pink guitar.

She went out in the yard and put on her best Taylor Swift performance.

I just hate it that she's so shy :-)

St. Louis 2017

After school got out, we packed up and headed to STL!

We had never been and were excited for a new city.

 We drove straight to the zoo where when you walk in, you can't miss this!

 Our favorite animals.....

 After the zoo we checked into our hotel. I sure don't remember packing that lip gloss for Delaney!

 Pi Pizza had the best salad I have ever had!

 While Delaney ate pizza (I did sneak in the wheat crust)

 One of my friends back home told me all of the good places to eat! This was called The Fountain and we may have hit it twice for dessert :-)

 This was so tempting.....

 We stayed at Casino Queen

 We saw the Budweiser Clydesdales at Grant's Farm. It was $30 to have your picture taken with one.

 So we opted for the free "sign"

 I am going to go ahead and mark this off our summer fun list!

 We had no idea STL was such a foodie town. This place was suppose to have salmon but they were out so I ordered the double portabella mushroom sandwich.

 The Cardinals were playing in Cincinnati while we were there so no game for us.

 This is as close to the Arch as we got.

 On our last morning we stopped for breakfast because vacation=donuts with sprinkles

We had so much fun!!!

TEN years ago today, this little girl's daddy got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

If you ask Delaney who she's going to marry she'll say without fail "the man of my dreams who gets down on one knee"....and then she'll say "but mommy, what if he isn't a fireman".....

duh, "then he's not the man of your dreams" :-)

Delaney went with me to an appointment. I would have thought she would have sat by me but nope, this is what happened..............

I couldn't help but take these pictures. I bet the other people wondered where her mother was!

No More Gymnastics!!!!

We went to a fun concert this weekend and if you saw "us" on Snapchat, you got to witness Delaney's love of Taylor Swift. She can really "Shake It Off" :-)

I have been looking for hair styles for Delaney for the wedding she's in this month.

We have FOUR cousins getting married (June, July, September, October).

So I guess we'll go without wedding cake in August:-)

Delaney finished up gymnastics for the summer which was reason to celebrate. I asked her how she wanted to and she said "let's do something I've never done in my life". I said "you're only 7, there's a lot of things you've never done in your life". Then she said "let's order pizza"! Ha, if you know us, you know we never order pizza! But, since it was 8:30 AND she had already had dinner, I decided SBucks would have to do.

Where she got a hot chocolate!!!!

Summer's off to a great start (even if it does include hot chocolate)......
