Over Memorial Weekend, we packed up and headed to Kentucky for cousin Maria's SURPRISE 30th birthday party! Good thing we just went overnight or we would have had to have rented a U-Haul.........................
After checking in at the hotel, Delaney got to pick which bed she wanted to sleep in (of course "she" chose her pack n play!)............................
At the birthday party, there was a very special guest! We got to meet our newest cousin, Logan David (who was almost 3 weeks old). It was like I forgot what to do with a newborn!!! New babies are so fragile you think they're going to break just by looking at them!! Check out those "basketball player" feet of his! Delaney COULD HAVE CARED LESS when she saw me holding another baby!
Probably because she made herself right at home...this is NOT her toy but she sure played with it like it was! (Note she is finally wearing a bow in her hair---it didn't last long though!)
And then it was time for the guest of honor to arrive BLINDFOLDED!!!! Maria was such a good sport! Her friends picked her up at home and blindfolded her and then brought her to the party. She had NO idea where she was going (but rumor has it she thought maybe to a Mexican restaurant!) But let me tell you, the food we ate was way better than anything she could have gotten at a Mexican restaurant...I mean just LOOK at those homemade desserts!!!!!
Here is the birthday girl...isn't she adorable??? Cousin Maria is an elementary schoolteacher!
Delaney was EXCELLENT in the car.....but I guess when you're eating your feet there's not much to complain about!! WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH MY KID???????
