A Successful Valentine's Party

I recently ran into a friend I hadn't seen in years. So there was lots of catching up to do! As we were quite a distance a part in line, we continued to follow up! Somehow we got on the topic of Delaney going to preschool and I told her I lived for Delaney's school parties because it was literally the only time I came out of my yoga pants!  The other women in line began to join in the conversation (good thing I"m not alone)! Well today was "one of those days". We put on our pink (and red) (and ombre) and headed out the door!
We had a full day including a party, Monkey Joe's, and Chick Fil A for lunch! Twins in Delaney's class own the local Chick Fil A so the kids got special treatment (when of course all they cared about was when they could go and play).
Field trips are code for "moms sitting around talking and not watching their kids"...Somehow this mom ended up at a table with GIRL SCOUT MOMS!! Now you can just imagine what I had to contribute to that conversation.............The only thing I know about Girl Scouts is they make a mean Samoa!
Delaney's grandma was "nominated" to make her Valentines Cards and her overachiever grandma may have gone a little overboard!  I wasn't the only "Pinterest" mom though...........
Although I should have done a little better planning rather than waiting until bedtime the night before to decide we should make cards for Delaney's teachers.  I call this one "gotta work with what ya got" and we "ain't got" valentine colored paper! So we opted for more of a Spring look! And thank goodness because the teachers had bags for valentines. Who knew! Man, I am gonna be a much more prepared mom come Pre-K4!
Once we made it home it was time to "check out the loot"....The small box with the spoon was from Pinterest.  It is Apple Jacks and the heart says I "cereal-sly" like you..........
And then it was time to play in the snow and build a snowman

And then, someone put herself to bed for a nap! (Which is why I am finally able to update the blog)

  1. I'm always afraid that I'm going to have the same Pinterest idea that another mom has….so far, I have been duplicated! Can't wait to see how Valentine's Day parties work in Kindergarten! Love the Kool-Aid idea too!!
