A trip to the ER, a hotel evacuation and a wedding (part 2)

Is it just me or is your favorite part of a wedding the cake!?!?!?! The skirting for the cake table was really neat.

Delaney, Caleb and Adarrah (you do know how hard it is to get three young kids to look at the camera right?)

Me and the groom, Jeremy. Gosh, I sure hope I hadn't put my heels on yet!

Here's where the trip to the ER came in. Poor Caleb hit his head and had to go. We were told at the reception our hotel had to be evacuated and the fire department arrived. We never found out what happened.

The centerpieces were so pretty....

And the groom's cakes! Colts and Fighting Irish................

And the candy bar!

I made sure to let Delaney know mommy doesn't even own pearls. Aunt Beth got these for Delaney.

"Mommy, why don't I get any cake"???

I know this picture is dark but hopefully you can see how adorable the bridesmaids were. I joked and said you had to be a size zero to be in the wedding! They were so cute (and skinny).

Cousin Maria (sister of the groom) read scripture...my favorite "Love is Kind, Love is Patient..."

Cousin Steven was an usher.

Caleb is about to get a new sister. Delaney was still waiting on cake!!

Daddy and his girls. A candle was lit in honor of daddy who was suppose to be a groomsman. What a special touch and honor it was. He was there in spirit!

Great grandma Purichia and Delaney..........

Are they cute or what?????????

Don't think Delaney is asleep for the night. She woke up just in time for the dollar dance!

Cousin Elaine is having a girl in January and we can't wait!!!

We got home just in time for the second half of the Colts game. It was a real nail biter for Delaney.

"Mommy, are you kidding me, I don't think we're going to pull this off today"..........

"The Gym"

Delaney wasn't sure if she wanted to hit the gym or the mall...................................Afterall, the gym would be some place "new"......... But WHO would wear their Little Black Dress to the Gym?????

Certainly, not Delaney! So, we decided the mall it was.......................

Labor Day

Here's what happens when you LITERALLY run out back to turn the hose on. You come back in and find your daughter trying to suffocate herself (either that or she thought we were playing hide and seek)!!! I know, it was wrong of me to snap a picture before removing the blanket from her face but I just had to!! Oh and it's not enough she's learned to roll over on the floor, she now does it in her pack n play! (She still hasn't done it in her bed though) THANK GOODNESS!!
Sucking her thumb.....
Really, is it necessary that she learn to sit up??
Oh no....somebody catch me...

Here I go........

FLOWER POWER!!
"Delaney, honey, please don't eat your burp cloth...."

"What did you say mommy"???

"Ok mommy, I won't".....
"Delaney, please don't eat your duck either"..........

"Gosh mommy, what can I chew on then"?????
Delaney had a great Labor Day. Although, she didn't do any hard labor. She got to go out for lunch, take a............

Go for a swing..............
And take a nap (a very short one I might add).
Delaney wants to know, if you're not suppose to wear white after Labor Day, then what is she suppose to do with all of these??????

HOW "SUITE"...........

Little Delaney Catherine got the royal (blue) treatment at last night's Colts game. The owner, Jim Irsay, gave Delaney four suite tickets and guess who she wanted to take??? Well, her mommy (of course) and her two grandmas...I know, isn't she so "suite"??????? We got all decked out in our blue. Of course Delaney got a new outfit (and hair bow). She could hardly wait..........

Oh and the "suite" parking pass, well it was "sweet" (especially when you aren't allowed to take in a stroller)................please excuse my wind blown hair!

Notice the slobber on her chin..........Delaney didn't know what to think. The girl NEVER wears blue but she had to support her favorite mascot!

And in true Delaney style she watched the jumbo screen.......

Delaney really enjoyed her plush leather seat (oh and the view from the 30 yard line wasn't bad either). I think she's going to be really disappointed when she actually sits in her seat at the end zone in section 224!! ha ha ha

I don't know how I'll break it to her our section doesn't have these!!

But the "suitest" part was definitely this! ONLY MY DAUGHTER would cry at pricesly the moment she got to meet Jim Irsay. REALLY? Of ALL the times she could have cried during the night she picked this one!!!! He is getting ready to welcome his first grandson, AJ Foyt the 5th next month! I am DEFINITELY thinking arranged marriage!!!! Delaney Foyt doesn't sound half bad if you ask me!

Then we got to go down to the sideline.

But instead of hanging out with these guys...............

Delaney decided she wanted to watch the.....

Delaney definitely got to go to her first Colts game YEARS before I ever planned. She was a perfect angel (well, other than the little crying epsiode in Jim Irsay's suite) and everyone LOVED her! I don't blame them...............

I couldn't resist posting this picture. As I sat on the sofa, I looked up and saw this.........

See, I've told you before WE DON'T LIKE TO WEAR SOCKS IN THE SUMMER!!!! Here's another shot....

Is it Wrong??

To let your daughter take a nap in the bathroom? I didn't think so............... If Delaney is awake (which she was when I jumped in the shower) I take her in with me in her vibrating seat (note her legs hang over it now). She just happened to fall asleep while I was taking it (maybe I took too long?). So WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND would move her???? I contemplated turning the light off!!

Grandma Terry bought Delaney this onesie! Maybe she's trying to tell me something (I did just upgrade my texting plan!).....

Delaney went to the doctor today for her five month follow up appointment. Now, for you moms out there you know there is no "standard" five month appointment. And I didn't "know" this until a mom in the waiting room who also had a daughter asked me how old Delaney is and I said "five months". She replied "oh, is she sick" and I said "no why"? Then I remembered I was "one of those moms". I said "I break up her immunizations so we're here every month". I asked "how old is your daughter" and she said "six months" to which I replied.....OH MY GOD!! Her baby was literally HALF the size of Delaney and one month older! BUT, I didn't stay in that state of shock long because once the doctor saw Delaney and her measurements...26 1/2 inches and 17 pounds (really 17 lbs and 1 ounce but like any woman, we're "dropping" that extra ounce)...he told me Delaney is "PERFECTLY PROPORTIONED"..........................She got just one shot today and as usual, did great and was done crying by the time she got back in her car seat. I did have one snag though...when I went to pull out the "distractor toy" THE BATTERY WAS DEAD!!!! Now, this is the "routine" I use each time she gets shots, I get her focused on the toy while the nurse gives it to her. I seriously wanted to say to the nurse "would it be a problem if I ran to the store real fast for batteries before you give Delaney her shot"!?!?!?! But I knew she wouldn't wait!

Come back tommorrow to visit the blog, we have exciting plans for tonight!!! GO COLTS!!!

A little of this and a little of that...........

For a baby who sleeps an average of 10 hours a night, you never know if she is going to nap or not. After all, naps are few and far between for this little girl. So, I've been trying to lay her down after her morning bottle to see if it will "work". She plays for a few minutes and then all of a sudden things get "quiet". Thank GOODNESS I checked on her to see if she was really asleep because here's what I saw! I didn't even have this blanket near her!!!!!!!!!!!! I think she's trying to keep the sun out of her eyes!!!! Yesterday, my friend Angie and her little girl Megan (forgot to take a picture) came for a visit and we headed to what's turning out to be my favorite lunch spot...McAlister's. I love to sit and eat outside. We got to catch up and had a great time. Of course I couldn't leave without bringing home some sweet tea. Although, as I stood there and watched them make a new batch AND SAW HOW MUCH SUGAR GOES INTO IT I may have to rethink buying it!!

Here are some miscellaneous pictures of what Delaney's been up to.

I know what you're thinking...that she's going to be crawling soon! But, she assures me she has no intentions of doing it!

No really, she PROMISES!!!!!!!!

And I believe her.....

On Saturday, we headed down to Edinburgh with aunt Angie to do what we do best..SHOP! Unfortunately, they didn't have Delaney's size in this onesie!! Note how aunt Angie didn't bother taking her sunglasses off, she just propped them up on her forehead!

Delaney has already been thinking about what she wants to be for Halloween.........

And, if we ever lose Delaney's "Ellie", we know where to find a replacement....

That's all for now.......(I am TRYING to learn how to upload video so stay tuned)
